"We, the nine city council elected members, commit to representing our wards with wisdom, shaped by our varied backgrounds and insights, setting aside personal distinctions, activist pet projects, to serve as members of a unified team - Team Evanston.

We will respect time and scope before engaging cooperatively with fellow council members focusing our efforts first and foremost as stewards of core municipal issues, providing solid leadership to shape the city’s future beyond fleeting causes. On broader issues, beyond our direct control, we will conduct town business for the overall benefit of the city—recognizing that our community thrives only when we succeed together.”
